AUMOVSKI, Josip   -  Our beloved Deda, Josip (Joe) Naumovski, passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2021, with his family by his side.

One of nine children, born on September 1, 1932, in Nakolec, Macedonia, Josip was always driven, hardworking and determined. He joined the Yugoslavian army in his teens and his sharp intellect was quickly recognized as he was selected to join an elite group oWhile living in Zagreb, they had their first son Darko (Clare) before moving to Germany.

After spending two years in Germany they moved to Canada where they had their second son Robert (Jennifer).

In Canada, Joe was exceptionally driven working odd jobs and quickly learning English. Joe with his skills as a machinist, eventually started a small machine shop that he and his two sons grew into a successful business. Joe's passion for his work took him across the globe, frequently with Branka by his side.

Joe and Branka were happiest while travelling and had a special fondness for the beach.

Never having a daughter, Joe hoped for a granddaughter and was overjoyed when he ended up with seven; Monika (Adrian), Krista (Geoffrey, Alexander), Anna (Andrew, Ava, Sophia, Jessica), Kate (Brian, Lewis, Hannah, Eve), Michaela (Ross), Alanna (Jake), and Isabelle.

Joe's generosity, work ethic, love of animals and fondness for Jeopardy will never be forgotten and will continue to live on through his family.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private ceremony will be held for immediate family only and a celebration of life will be hosted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Collingwood G&M Hospital Foundation https://cgmhf.com/give/.
