BOWER, Peter Alan - (1945 - 2021) - Peter Alan Bower passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, in Toronto, Ontario.
He was born in 1945 to Thomas and Anna Bower in Pointe a Pierre, Trinidad and Tobago. He grew up there along with his five siblings (Michael, Elizabeth, Gillian, Robert and Robin).
He is survived by his wife Susan Bower, his two children, Charles (Vicky) and Nicole (Vincent), and their four grandchildren (Leah, Katherine, Isabelle and Timothy).
He enjoyed a successful career as a Professional Geologist in the oil patch, and worked in many countries including Trinidad, Equador, the US and Canada.
He met Susan in England while studying for a Master’s degree. They married in 1970 and moved to Trinidad where they started their family. After moving to Ecuador for a year, they finally settled in Calgary, where they found their dream home with a mountain view.
Peter enjoyed many outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, boating, swimming, golfing and backpacking. Peter was a world traveller who took his family to many countries, including France, England, Hawaii, Trinidad and Tobago, the US and Canada. The family spent many happy holidays in Whitefish, Montana, and at the family cottage near Kingston.
Peter was a devoted husband and father, and a dedicated member of the Christian Science Church.
