Melillo AntoniettaMELILLO, Antonietta - Sadly, we lost our matriarch Antonietta Melillo on May 29, 2021 at the age of 97.

Loving mother to Angelo (Angela), Mike (Rita), and predeceased by her daughters Lina (Victor), Anna (Vince) and Carm.

She was also a very loving Nonna to Frank (Maria), Robert (Ashley), Andrea (Brandon), Anthony (Laura), Catherine, Isabella and Antoniette; loving Bisnonna to Adelina, Robert Jr., Daniel and Jayden.

On May 6, 1945 she married the love of her life Antonio (predeceased) and they were happily married for 65 years. In 1962 she packed up her family and immigrated to a better life in Canada. Four years later she would add her fifth child and continued to grow her roots in Canada.

Nothing meant more to her than time spent with family. Whether it was holidays, birthdays or time at Wasaga Beach. Nonna would always be found with a smile on her face watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have fun. She always took pride in offering whatever she could whether if it was food or gifts of money for the kids to buy treats. She will fondly be remembered for her amazing pizzelle, lentils and homemade pasta.

Her strength and courage helped the family through some very difficult times. She liked to compete with her family in scopa and bocce. Her other hobbies include knitting and completing word searches and reading in her spare time. She loved to travel and was able to enjoy the companionship of family and friends as she visited various churches.

She will leave behind a legacy of strength, courage and faith. She touched everybody she met with nothing but respect and positivity. She will forever be missed.

Arrangements and livestreamed service are entrusted with Delmoro funeral home.

Rest in Peace!
