Da Costa LuciaDA COSTA, Lucia - It is with a heavy heart that the Da Costa family announces the passing of Lucia Da Costa on Monday, June 7th, 2021 at the age of 61.

Since her birth on November 1959 in Portugal, Sao Miguel, Lucia has sparked a tremendous amount of love and warmth to everyone who had met her.

Words will never be enough to express all that makes Lucia. But know she was a devoted wife to Joe Dacosta, a proud mother to Josephine, Debbie, Chrissy, and Michelle. And a loving Avo to her netas Cynthia, Monica, Kayla, and Pedro Jr.

She was the key in our family. The one who brought us together, who held our hand in the darkest times, and gave us laughter in our best ones.

Though this goodbye is painful and said all too soon, Lucia will continue to be in every moment thereafter and in the hearts of her loved ones. It brings us peace knowing she is finally reunited with her parents and we can only wait for the day we are too.

Like she always said: “Together. Forever.” No truer words have been spoken.

Until we meet again in the kingdom of heaven, look over us, our angel Lucia.

We little knew that morning,
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For parts of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken, And
Nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
