MARUSKA, William - William (Bill) Maruska, 93, of Toronto, passed away peacefully, on September 2, 2021, after a brief illness.
He was born in Dobrucin, Ukraine, on October 22, 1927 and came to Canada as a 10-year-old boy.
In his youth he lived a carefree life in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, but then moved to the big city and met his wife, Sally.
They were happily married for over 60 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children (daughter, Dale Silvestro, and son, Ron (Carmina)), his four grandchildren (Sabina (Steven), David (Sarah), Julie (David) and Lisa) and his six great-grandchildren (Viola, Mark, Ben, Greyson, Jeremy and Sophie). Bill was predeceased by his wife, Sally.
Bill was a devoted father and grandfather.
He loved his family and always organized family vacations which brought us all closer together.
He was the happiest person you would every meet. He loved to dance and walk.
He loved to vacation on the beach. He always considered himself lucky and was grateful for all of his blessings.
He will be greatly missed.
