BAPTISTE, Anne-Marie Jean 'Shirley' - Was born in Castries, St. Lucia on January 29, 1947. She passed away suddenly on September 2, 2021 in her home from natural causes at the age of 74.
She arrived in Canada in 1969 at the age of 22 determined to create a new life for herself. She worked extremely hard throughout her life, often working two and three jobs at a time to support herself and children.
As the longest standing member in her church she had so much joy attending every Sunday and serving the lord with sincerity and devotion for so many years. The church members were so dear to her heart like her family, and she enjoyed their fellowship.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Anne-Marie knew how much she loved to cook, frequently having friends and church members over for dinners and special occasions. She took great joy and pleasure in filling the hearts and bellies of those around her.
She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and friend to many, her memory will forever be in our hearts. She leaves behind two children Amanda and Ryan along with four grandchildren Elijah, Ariesha, Jahseira and Jahsiah.
She was a precious, one of a kind lady and it goes without saying that she will be greatly missed. We thank God for sharing her life with us and take comfort in knowing she is resting in eternal peace with the Lord.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Friday, September 17th and 18th, 2021. The service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, September 18th, 2021.
