Saumelidis GeorgiaSOUMELIDIS, Georgia (nee ARMAKOLLA)  -  May 14, 1933 - September 11, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected loss of our dear friend Georgia, who passed away suddenly at the Trillium-Mississauga Hospital, on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the age of 88 years.

Georgia came to Canada when her parents, the late Maria and Antonio Armakolla, emigrated the family from Tinos, Greece.

Beloved wife of the late John Soumelidis of Greece.

Loving and devoted mother of three children, the late Catherine Maria Therese, the late Yves George, and the late John Joseph Julius Soumelidis all born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Georgia is survived by her sisters, Marietta Burlone (husband Serge), Conketa Armakolla, Catherine Verzi (husband Walter), Maria Dominicis, and Alexandra Armakolla and their families.

Georgia is survived by her precious little dog, a loyal companion of 14 years "Tango". Georgia shared an unbreakable bond with her close, extended family Lorraine Young and husband Tony Tocco.

Special friends, Claire Ragastree and husband Nelson Cabral and Angela Fordyce were always there to help her. Also, many more neighbors and friends as Georgia has touched the lives of so many.

She will always be remembered for her zeal for life, and in the face of obstacles her tenacious spirit to never quit!

At Georgia's request, cremation has privately taken place. Georgia will be laid to rest with her family Mississauga.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Rest in peace Georgia, forever in our hearts until we meet again.
