SUN, Anna - 1950 - 2021 The world has lost a great person.
Anna passed away peacefully, on September 23rd, after a long five-year physical and mental battle with cancer.
She was surrounded by her loving children, Francis and Maggie, sisters Louisa and Sandra and Sherry whom she took in as another daughter, with many loved ones calling from overseas (brothers Alick and Stan, sister Margaret and sister-in-law Sharon with nephews Ben and Sean).
Anna was a young teenage girl when she came to Canada on her own and managed to teach herself English while working two full-time jobs to make a better life for herself.
She developed into a successful woman spending 30-plus years at BMO and subsequently at Symcor where she developed superior knowledge of cheque processing as well as lifelong friendships.
Her greatest joy was her children whom she loved unconditionally and were her pride and joy.
She will always be remembered for her unwavering strength, resilience and her genuine kindness and generosity.
Her spirit lives on in the values she has instilled in her children, and in those she has touched with her loving character.
She was a very well-loved person and will be missed dearly.
In true Anna character, she would want us all to stand strong and continue to smile which keeps in line with her Chinese name that contains the word smile.
In memory of Anna, please generously donate to the Cancer Society of Canada, something that is dear to Anna's heart (cancer.ca).
