Drane LawrenceDRANE, Lawrence (Larry) Charles   -  It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lawrence (Larry) Charles Drane in Montreal at age 63.

He will be forever missed by his parents, June and Bruce Drane, Brother Wesley Drane and sister April Drane and her partner Daniel Dutka.

Larry miraculously survived an accident and was in Montreal General Hospital, where his brother and sister visited him and they were there by his side when he suddenly succumbed to his injuries on September 17, 2021.

It was a bitter sweet reunion after many months of the pandemic as Larry was due to arrive in Toronto by train to be with his family.

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses in ICU who showed great compassion in their care for Larry.

Born March 25, 1958, Larry grew up in Toronto and Mont Royal TMR and memories of those early days are fondly remembered by his parents. In 1967, the family moved back to North Toronto and Larry attended John Fisher, Allenby, Glenview and Lawrence Park Collegiate with his younger sister April. Big brother paved the way and showed his Sis the "ropes".

Those who knew Larry well, and they know who they are, will always remember and forever miss his friendly charm and nurturing nature.

Larry had a green thumb and planted a lovely garden and had an apartment full of plants. Loving relationships with his family, friends and his pets was his proudest achievement.

Larry was cremated at Mont Royal crematorium and his memorial graveside interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Friday, October 8th at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity or local Humane Society.
