Acheson MarjorieACHESON, Marjorie Frances (nee MATKIN)   - Marjorie passed away peacefully, in Toronto, on December 28, 2021.

She was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1923.

During the war, she met a dashing RCAF navigator, John Acheson (1922-2010) and they danced through over 65 years of marriage.

John's career took them to Kitchener-Waterloo where they raised their family and made many contributions to the community.

Mom was an avid reader, loved to travel and was famous for her pies.

She was the matriarch of the family and revelled in that role.

Mother of Kathleen (Bill) Troost, Scott (Maggie) Acheson, Gail (Irving) Leitner and Robert (dearly missed).

Loved Mama of David (Georgia), Amy (Alastair), Will (Porsha), Michael, Erin (Adam) and Jessica (Shawn).

Proud Great-Grandmama to Alexia and Sophia, Lucien and Aya, John Luca and Oliver, and Joshua and Jack.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hazelton Place, especially her caregiver, Felly, for making her last years comfortable.

A family celebration of her life will be held in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA or the Alzheimer Society.
