NYBOG, Ole - 1942 - 2022 It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Ole Nybog, my longtime friend and housemate of 23 years on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Humber River Hospital at the age of 79.
Ole had been hospitalized in October for a dementia related incident and put on medication.
The next day he was no longer able to walk, feed himself or speak coherently.
He never recognized me again. He was also being treated for pneumonia.
Thankfully he was never in pain and was oblivious to his deterioration for the three months he remained in hospital.
Sadly, I do not know all of their names. Special thanks to his devoted caregiver, Presy.
According to Ole's wishes, he has been cremated and will be interred at York Cemetery on Beecroft Road, North York, with his parents at a later date.
