LOBO, Silvestre Nelson - December 31, 1930 - January 22, 2022
With heartfelt grief, we announce that our dearest father, Silvestre Nelson Lobo, formerly of Mumbai and Nairobi, was suddenly called to his Heavenly home on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of 91.
Although his passing was unexpected, it was peaceful.
We give thanks for the time that he was with us and will always be grateful for a loving, gentle father who supported us in all that we did.
He was always there for us with advice, guidance and wisdom.
Thank you, Dad, for the happy memories and the good times, also for passing on to us your enduring faith and love of reading.
Dad was predeceased by his wife and our beloved mother, Luisinha (née Joanes), and his brother Ornellas Lobo of Pune, India.
He will be missed by his children Rosalind (Carey), Daphne (Blair), Edmund, Gerard (Elaine), Charlene and his beloved grandson Ezekiel. He is survived by his siblings Lourdes, Astrid, Stanley, Carlos and Orlando (Olly) of India and Australia and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Covenant House or The Catholic Missions.
Visitation (appointment only): Friday, January 28th, 4-7 p.m. at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (Thornhill). Funeral Mass (private – invitation only): Saturday, January 29th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church. Interment (following funeral Mass).
