BURNS, James Charles - December 24, 1945 – January 15, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James Charles Burns on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Brampton Civic Hospital at 76 years of age.
He leaves behind his sister Janis, nephew Robert and nieces Suzanne and Alexandra (Alastair).
We remember his love of music. As a teenager Jim taught himself to play the guitar and spent hours jamming with friends in his parents' basement.
This led to his first job at Paul Hahn and Co.
He then worked at Unisource Canada in Mississauga for over 20 years.
Jim loved spending time at our cottage on the Severn River in Muskoka.
Over the years he enjoyed participating in the Severn Falls regattas, slalom water skiing and rebuilding docks.
As an avid fisherman, Jim and friends often flew into Shaw Lake for bass. Every Labour Day weekend friends looked forward to their annual cottage visits with lots of laughter and late night guitar playing on the deck.
Jim will be sadly missed by all family members and friends.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held in the spring.
If you wish, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
