Arnold RaeARNOLD, Rae   - Sadly, we share that on April 25th, we lost our mom, our grandma, our great-grandma.

Rae (Eskil) Arnold died peacefully at home, her kids (Heather, Hillary and Martin) by her side, in the condo she loved, in the city she loved.

She lost Geoff, the love of her life, in January.

Rae was born in Toronto (August 10, 1933) and lived here her whole life with the exception of the time in western Ontario to attain her nursing qualifications (and meet Geoff).

Rae had a suite of qualities that made her a wonderful friend: she was a good listener, supportive, generous, and non-judgmental.

Her circle of friends grew throughout her life and included friends made when she was a child, as a student nurse, neighbours from the homes we lived in, from time spent at Gooderham and most recently the community at the condo.

Rae co-wrote the book on grand-parenting with Geoff and together they enriched the lives of Eric, David, Colin, Kate, Spencer and Damian (predeceased, 2021).

Events with family and friends were important to Rae and she welcomed everyone. Friends became honorary family members and traditions were born.

Missing her are her children and their spouses, Heather and Brian, Hillary and Ted, Martin and Valerie, the grands, Eric (PJ), David (Mimi), Colin (Laura), Kate (Dave) and Spencer, and the great-grands, Zoe, Riley, Bennett and Rae-Lynne.

In lieu of flowers, please honour Rae by reaching out to someone who needs a hand and consider donating to an organization that will help someone who needs it.
