Quinton GussieQUINTON, Gussie   - With heavy hearts, we announce that Camelia Augusta "Gussie" Quinton passed away peacefully at home, May 1, with family at her side, one day before what would have been her 90th birthday.

Dearly beloved wife of Don, her husband of 67 years; mother to Richard (Cheryl), Gordon (Marie); and grandchildren Amanda (Rick), Taylor and Zack.

She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Margaret (Lloyd), Winn, and Anna and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sister, Roberta, whom she missed greatly.

Gussie had been very active in the TCW at St. Cyprian's Anglican Church and as a 25-year volunteer at North York General Hospital, all while keeping up with Aqua fit at Cummer Park Community Centre and fitness classes at Amica Bayview.

She also enjoyed catching up with longtime friends and former colleagues from her long-distinguished career with Bell Canada. Prior to her cancer diagnosis almost five years ago, Gussie and Don enjoyed cruising and many visits to Florida, New York, and western Canada.

She will be fondly remembered for her hearty laugh, generous spirit and love for her favourite colours black and white.

A private service will be held Friday, May 6, at St. Cyprian's Anglican Church, with a celebration of life to be held this summer.

If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to either the North York General Hospital Foundation or Sunnybrook Research Foundation.
