FOSTER, Emily (nee McCREADY) - Passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 104.
She lived an abundant life here in Toronto.
Born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, she came to Canada at an early age with her parents and 5 sisters (the McCreadys).
She married Ivor Foster. She was a loving and devoted mother to Ronalie and George.
She loved to knit and crochet, and played crib. She was a kind-spirited and helpful woman, and was the life of the party at many of the Irish Regiment Veterans Association events.
Emily and Ivor would later visit WWII cemeteries in Italy.
Emily had a vivacious personality and made people around her laugh.
Her life line will live on through the eyes of her children, George and his family, Esther Murray, Ashley, Tyler and Emmett McLeod, Charles Foster and Destiny; as well as Ronalie and her family, Ted, Jeff and Lauren Mendes.
It is with a feeling of great loss that we will say goodbye to this amazing woman, beautiful soul, and a resilient mother.
