Banerd AdairBANERD , Adair John Banerd  - John Banerd passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, in Kelowna, BC.

 

He was born in Kipling, Saskatchewan, on May 3, 1934.

 

Adair is survived by wife, Anne-Marie De Vos; and their son, Nicholas; sisters, Blanche and Dolores; children, Bradley (June), Karin (Joseph), Laurent (Wendy), Tianne (Robert); and their mother, Kay Marshall; grandchildren, Claire, Shawn, Craig, Ryan, Mae, Mika, Walker, Heather, Elizabeth, and Katherine; and great-grandchildren, Georgia, Calvin, and Francesca.

 

Adair was predeceased by his twin sister, Audrey.

 

Adair, a UBC graduate (International Studies and Economics-1956), started his career with the Canadian Foreign Immigration Service serving in Germany and England.

 

He continued a successful career with the Public Service of Canada in Ottawa from 1965 until retiring to Kelowna in 1998.

 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Springfield Funeral Home in Kelowna with a luncheon to follow. The Service will be live-streamed and recorded.
