Marcia passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 70.
She was the loving mother of Wanda Bowers and a devoted “Bubba” to Karissa Macek (James Riley), Bo Gibbons (Kavita Ramkissoon), Tonara Jackiln (Andres Cruz), Andrew, Jessica Jacklin, Hunter, and Kaylee.
Marcia will be deeply missed by close friends Elinor Pelltier and Cori Morel, and lovingly welcomed to the other side by her parents Ross and Gloria Gibbons, and her siblings Wayne, Beth, and Coral.
A proud member of the large Thompson Clan, Marcia spent most of her life in Nobel and Dillon, Ontario. She cherished life by the water, her home, and the community in Magnetawan, where she retired along the river.
A spiritual woman at heart, Marcia was a Medicine Woman, healer, and matriarch. Her legacy in spirituality and healing touched many lives.
As per her wishes, there will be no formal service. A Celebration of Life will take place in early summer. Date to be announced.
