McCleery CameronMcCLEERY, Cameron Hugh  -  In loving memory of Cameron Hugh McCleery, who passed away suddenly, at age 70 in Toronto, ON, on December 9, 2023.

Born on November 16, 1953, in Melbourne, Australia, Cameron and family would immigrate to Canada in 1961 on the maiden voyage of the SS Canberra.

Cameron was a creator.

He was loving, proud, resourceful and charmingly irreverent.

There was nothing he couldn't 'fix' with a bungee cord, zip-strips and a roll of gaffer tape.

He possessed a unique intelligence and passion for lifelong learning. He loved history, especially about Toronto. He had a "when I was a boy..." story for just about every street in town. More than anything, Cameron loved his family. He was a thoughtful, devoted father and partner who would do anything for his loved ones.

Predeceased by his mom, Joan; dad, Eric; brother, Andy; and Barbara McCleery.

Survived by his loving 'Armie-roo' Armenia; son, Sean (Amber); daughter, Lauren (Emmanuel); daughter, Esther (Chris); cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Ava and Locke; nephew, Christopher; Joanne Cameron, and Gail Einarson-McCleery (Reynir).

A Celebration of Life will be held in the new year, date to be announced. In honour of Cameron's yearly birthday request for "peace and contentment throughout the land," donations can be made to UNICEF Canada.
