Williams JoanWILLIAMS, Joan (nee GRABER)  -   Born April 24, 1934, near Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan.

Joan Williams died peacefully, at home on January 13, 2024, with her family by her side.

Her family was the center of her world and she was their anchor.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Dave Fletcher; children, Mark (Linda) and Cheryl; her four grandchildren, Luke, Amy, Dallas and Graeme; and her three great-grandchildren, Dylan, William, and Briar, who knew her as Baba.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Mel Williams.

When she was in her early sixties, she met Dave, with whom she shared 26 wonderful years.

They spent their time caring for grandchildren, travelling, gardening and creating a backyard oasis. Joan is warmly remembered as a gifted gardener with an artistic flair and sense of style that she brought to all aspects of her life. She was kind, generous, thoughtful, gentle, intelligent, and fun-loving.

She loved to have conversations - on the phone or in person - with family and friends, and had a great memory for what was going on in the lives of those close to her. She often shared memories about life at Pearl School, a one-room schoolhouse and of her childhood friend, Elsie, with whom she remained close.

In her final years, she returned to journaling, filling in the gaps to create a record of all the years of her life.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
