LEWIS, Norman Robert Arthur Lewis  -  Aged 69, of Toronto, passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him.

 

He was predeceased by his parents, Norman (2015) and Gwendolyn (2019) and is survived by his wife, Jackie; his children, Gwendolyn and James; their mother, Wendy; his sister, Wendy (Joe); and his brother, James (Kathy).

He was a cherished uncle to Jennifer, Leigh, Andrea, Wesley, and Garrett (2014) and a great-uncle to Evelyn, Harrison, Elle, Alexander, Emily, Theodore, Kate and Charlotte.

 

Robert was a man of remarkable generosity, kindness, and gentleness.

 

His unwavering love for his family, poodles, and his passion for corvettes and business illuminated every aspect of his life.

 

He was fiercely loyal and protective of those he held dear, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A "lefty", he will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by his family, friends, animals and all who were touched by his unique character, intellect and charisma.

 

A heartfelt thank you is extended to Tessa, as well as the staff at Haliburton Highlands Health Services Emergency Department, for their dedicated and compassionate care.

 

A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home at 157 Main Street South in Newmarket.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations toward a memorial bench to be erected by the pond at Tall Timbers, Haliburton, the family cottage and where Robert found solace, may be sent by e-transfer to This email address is being protected from spambots.
