Kelly ShirleyKELLY, Shirley Anne (nee DENOMY)  -  Shirley Kelly passed peacefully on the evening of Sunday March 24, 2024 and is now together again with her loving husband the late Charles Edward Kelly.

Shirley is the adored mother of Charlene (Grant), Barbara (John), Paul (Carolyn), and Gerry (Leasa), the number-one supporter of grandchildren Mark, Heather, Kelly, Carter, Meredith, Brooke, and Brendan and the thrilled great-grandmother of Hunter.

Shirley was a devoted Registered Nurse, avid bridge player, devoted Catholic, and proud member of the Grail.

Shirley created a warm home on Roe Avenue, where neighbours and friends were always welcome and countless parties and celebrations were held and will be fondly remembered.

For many years Shirley and Charles provided a home to Shirley's elderly mother Bernice Denomy and the crowded dining room table would be filled with Shirley's wonderful home cooking and Bernice's impeccable pies and tarts.

The family thanks all the current Baycrest staff for their truly compassionate care of Shirley, and appreciation to the staff at The Teddington Retirement Home where although her stay was unfortunately too brief, it was a source of great joy. Profound gratitude to Juanita, Ritche and Chona who quickly came to her aid during some of the most challenging periods over the last few years.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) on Monday, April 1st from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church (24 Cheritan Avenue) on Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Baycrest Foundation or any charity of your choice.
