ROBINSON, Derek - Peacefully, on April 18, 2024, at the age of 92.
Beloved husband of the late Sylvia Rose Robinson (2011).
Loving father of the late Suzanne Robinson (2023) and the late Timothy Robinson (1980).
Survived by his son, Christopher Robinson; and by his cherished longtime friend and family lawyer, Allan McCracken.
Derek had many degrees in business, engineering and commercial real estate.
He loved his work and was passionate about long hours in his office. His life was full of many interests, including worldwide travel with the "love of his life," Sylvia.
His many family dogs kept him laughing and busy, and he was a huge fan of tennis and sports all his life, including memberships at The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club and The Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto.
Dining out at great restaurants and his love of wine brought him a lot of joy.
A Graveside Service will be held in section Q at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, on Wednesday, April 24th at 1 p.m.
A special thanks to his private nurse and friend, Elderfield Carr, who took great care of "the Boss" in his last years at Belmont House long-term care.
Private cremation has taken place.
