BJORKMAN, Allan John - Born May 30, 1937 Allan passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Sunnybrook Hospital surrounded by his family after an extended battle with leukemia.
He is survived by Mary his beloved wife of 57 years and his sister Verna Nelson of Winnipeg.
He will be greatly missed by his four cherished daughters, Cynthia, Catherine, Linda and Marta (Scott Bramson); his treasured grandchildren, Christina, Danielle, Jennifer, Cameron and Julia; his brother-in-law John Zupko; his many nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. He was predeceased by his seven older sisters.
The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Odette Cancer Center.
The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the chapel of the funeral home, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11:30 a.m.
