DAWSON, Bryan Charles  -  January 10, 1940 – January 21, 2018

After contracting pneumonia, Bryan died peacefully at the age of 78, having lived for 8 years with Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body dementia.

Born in South Porcupine, Ontario, Bryan grew up in Toronto.

He was proud of his time at Runnymede Collegiate Institute and the University of Western Ontario. He spent his career in the insurance industry and enjoyed many opportunities to travel with his work.

Though Bryan could be a solitary fellow, he had a small circle of dear friends with whom he enjoyed many wonderful times together over fantastic food, great wine and excellent music.

He was thankful for more than 40 years of camaraderie with these lovely people. Bryan found comfort and enjoyment in old movies and TV shows, sports and playing the piano and drums.

He had an offbeat sense of humour and appreciated terrible jokes.

Bryan is survived by his daughter Jennifer, his son Robert and their families. Respecting Bryan's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral is planned.

If desired, donations may be made to The Salvation Army Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor, to whom we are extremely grateful for the excellent and compassionate care they provided Bryan these past several years.
