BACON, Evelyn Joan (nee Cornwell) - Evelyn died peacefully at home on January 29, 2018 at age 85.
Evelyn was daughter to Isabella and (William) Arthur Cornwell, and sister to Dorothy (Pat Demarki) and Earl Walwin (Ruth) all of whom preceded her in death.
Lovingly remembered by her sons Jeff (Deb) and David (Janet Amos) and greatly missed by her adoring grandchildren Taylor (Kristen), Sarah (Griffin), Stuart (Hannah) and Julia.
Evelyn also leaves relatives in the Demarki and Walwin families.
Never living too far from her childhood home on Glencairn Avenue, Evelyn was a longtime resident of The Grenadier where she relished independent living.
She loved reading, playing bridge and billiards and was an accomplished knitter. She enjoyed participating in church events at St. Bartholomew's United Church in Brampton. Evelyn's favourite times were always in Muskoka with her family. A close second was a good night for the Leafs, her favourite team.
A celebration of Evelyn's life is planned for Saturday, February 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's United Church in Brampton. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, please remember Evelyn by contributing to St. Bartholomew's United Church ("Stairway to Heaven" project) or a charity of your choice. Donations may be made by cheque to the church at 22 Abbey Road, Brampton Ontario.
