Maxwell DaltonMAXWELL, "Dalton" DVM, WTD  - August 26, 1934 - April 23, 2018

Peacefully on April 23, 2018 at Hill House Hospice in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Born August 26, 1934 in Tosorontio Township to Earl and May Maxwell.

Husband of Carol Beaver; father of Aynsley, Robert, Craig and David. Step-father to Peter, Andrea and Carlos; brother of Keith (Angela) Maxwell.

Grandfather to Daphne, Victoria, Elizabeth, Anton, Laurence, Seren, Chelsea and Caleb.

Predeceased by siblings George, Norman and Betty, son Andrew and step-daughter Sylvia.

Raised in Barrie, Ontario, Dr. Maxwell was a graduate of Ryerson (1956) and the Ontario Veterinary College (1962).

He was a skilled researcher and educator who practiced veterinary medicine in Orillia, Guelph, Erin, Toronto and Ottawa before moving to Bancroft where he maintained a practice for over 30 years. Dalt loved the challenges of a small town veterinary clinic and was dedicated to providing care to his animal clients and compassionate guidance to their owners. His friends will remember a lifelong learner and a lively conversationalist.

Dr. Maxwell's family would like to thank the staff of Hill House Hospice in Richmond Hill for their kindness and the tender care that they gave Dalt in his final days.

A visitation, followed by a service and reception, will be held at 10 a.m. on May 19, 2018 at the Aurora United (Trinity Anglican) Church at 79 Victoria St. in Aurora, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Future Fund in support of rebuilding the Aurora United Church or Hill House Hospice (36 Wright St., Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4A1).
