She had been healthy and happy right up until the end of her long life.

Marlene was born December 2, 1933 in Toronto.

After teacher's college she taught at Morse Street Junior Public School and Wilkinson Public School and then was a teacher's assistant at Bedford Park Public School.

Marlene was a member of the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club for over 50 years, playing well into her seventies.

Survived by her step-son Harold (Janet) of Caversham, England, his children and grandchildren.

Marlene will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, their families and her good friends and attentive neighbours.

Marlene was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Derek Chadwick; her parents Joseph and Ethel Taylor; older brothers Clarence, Jack, Gerald, Willam, and Bob.

Friends may call at the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club, 44 Price Street (at Yonge) on June 9th, 2-3 p.m. for a Celebration of Life.
