STEEL, Joanne M.V. (nee WOOD) - Passed away peacefully, on July 29, 2018 in her 81st year.
Joanne was involved in many Stouffville community sports activities, including women's and men's hockey.
Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Ray Steel.
Loving mother of Brad (Judy), Brenda Carino and Blair (Kristina); beloved Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Joanne will be sadly missed by all other extended family members and friends.
The family would like to mention a special thank you to Dr. Trinkaus, Dr. Solo, Dr. Patterson and the Palliative Care Team at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their ongoing care and support.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 254 Sunset Blvd. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. Private family interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit.
