BEATTIE, James H.  - Jim died peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre in Toronto on May 2, 2018 with his daughter at his side at the age of 96.

Predeceased by his parents Agnes and James Fyfe Beattie, his brother Arnold Nelson Beattie and his first grandchild Kimberly Ann.

Loving father of Charles (Lorraine), Fraser, Lindsay, Graeme and Scott (Dalyce) Beattie.

Cherished Papa of Shawn, Andrea, Justin and Ainsley.

Jim and his family sailed from Scotland in 1929 to start a new life in Canada.

While at Sunnybrook he always took the time to learn the names, interests and families of all nurses and staff he dealt with in K1W, the Kidney Care Clinic and at Sunny's Café. The

family would like to thank the staff at K1W and Sunnybrook's Kidney Care Clinic for the amazing care our father received during his eight years at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre.

As requested by Jim, a private Family Memorial and interment of ashes will take place in Collingwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Veterans Program or The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
