ROSS, Margaret 'Peggy' - October 30, 1927 - January 8, 2021 - Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 in her 94th year with family by her side at Hospice Peterborough, Ontario.
Daughter of the late Thomas Hanton McKenzie of Glasgow, Scotland and Mona Hudson of the Isle of Man. Peggy spent her childhood and youth living at the David Dunlap Observatory in Richmond Hill, where her father was the caretaker for over 20 years.
Predeceased by her dear husband George Irving (Irv) Ross.
Loving mother and mother-in-law of Linda Morrison (Terry), Glenn Ross (Lee) and Glenna Ross.

NADARAJU, Dr Manikum - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr Manikum Nadaraju (1935-2021).
His suffering has eased following a long battle with a terminal neurological disease (PSP).
He passed away with his family nearby on January 8, 2021 at the age of 85.
His stubbornness allowed him to win a battle with lung cancer in 2010 and enjoy more years of travelling with his wonderful wife and extra time with his grandchildren.
“Dr Nad” as he was so commonly referred to, grew up on a sugarcane farm near Durban, South Africa with 12 brothers and sisters.

David passed peacefully with his family around him.

BONSTEEL, James 'Jim' Gordon - Amazing son, loving husband, incredible father (Pop) and the world’s best Gramps unexpectedly passed too early on Friday, January 8, 2021.
Just seven short months after his wife Marilyn passed. Being together for over 63 years as a couple, it was time to reunite in heaven.
Sons Scott and Jimmy, still missing their mother dearly, were not expecting the loss of their father but the Lord works in mysterious ways.
With the tireless effort of daughter-in-law Michelle, there was never a day that help was not available.

YUEN, Peter Ng - June 11, 1942 - January 8, 2021 - Peter, age 78, a proud Torontonian, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021, with his two daughters holding his hands and by his side.
Peter attended St. Benedict’s College in Trinidad. He then went on to study at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts, Commerce degree in 1969.
Peter dedicated his working life to Citizen and Immigration Canada, where he worked for over 35 years, from 1975 to 2011, and where he held the title of Senior Program Adviser, managing settlement programs for immigrants and newcomers to Canada, and writing speeches for senior members of the department.

ELLIOTT, Mary (May) Margaret (nee RITCHIE) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary (May) Margaret Elliott (nee Ritchie) on January 8, 2021, in Collingwood, Ontario, in her 87th year.
May was born in Scotland in 1933. After her parents deaths, as an only child, she was left to raise herself and put herself through nursing school. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years.

BARIL, Gus - 1954 - 2021 On January 8, 2021, we lost one of the good guys.
Defying medical reality for nearly thirteen years, Gus succumbed to the evil tsunami that is cancer.
In his 67th year, Gus leaves all of us that had the honour and good fortune to have met him memories, anecdotes, humor, head shaking moments and a smile.
Gus is survived by beloved Leslie, his rock and compass for nearly 43 years of marriage and their son, Aaron, who makes them proud.

ALI, Mohamed - It is with profound sadness that we announce the January 8, 2021, death of Mohamed Ali at age of 75.
Born in Hargeisa, Somalia, Mohamed travelled the world and chose Canada as the country where he wanted to live.
He emigrated to Canada in 1980 and soon became a very proud Canadian.
He was a proud and dedicated housekeeper at Toronto General Hospital and retired after 25 years of employment.
A loving husband of 37 years to wife Valarie (Bush) Ali and also survived by his sister-in-laws, Crystal (Sherman) Sparks and Kimberly Bush.

BATE, Ernest - June 18, 1933 – January 8, 2021
In his 88th year, peacefully, at his longtime home on East Street in Goderich, surrounded by his loving family, at 12:45 p.m.
Ernest found much joy in his life pursuits, from contributing to his family's coal business in his youth, to driving taxi in the GTA as a young man, to farming in the Walkerton area, and finally retirement in Goderich where he established active roles in the community through volunteer work and church life.

GERRY, Robert (Bob) - Passed away peacefully, on Friday, January 8, 2020, just weeks after his 90th birthday.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Audrey (nee Hart), his daughters Karen (Rob) and Dawn (Paul), and grandchildren Emma, Elisabeth, Hanna and Harrison.
A graduate of Western, Bob enjoyed his years working in the paperboard industry, retiring in 1996 as VP and GM at Dover Industries, Bondware Division.
Bob will be remembered for his integrity, positive attitude, kindness, and love of sports – he enjoyed nothing more than a Sunday afternoon watching football!

GIBSON, Robert Perry Rob (Gibby) - Passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021.
He leaves behind his sisters, Jane (Doug) MacArthur and Claire Gibson, his niece, Claire (Billy) MacArthur and nephews, John MacArthur, Joe MacArthur and Chris Terebessy.
Rob was a Toronto guy who delivered the Toronto Star, delivered your mail, served with the Big Brothers.
As a youth, was Captain of his local hockey and baseball teams, an avid golfer and keenly interested in politics.
He lived for his Toronto sports teams and was an all-around community guy.

Howard and his twin brother, Harry, were born on a Schomberg, Ontario farm, May 10, 1924, the youngest of 5 boys.

Pamela, with her life-long best friend, Winnie Chan, at her side left us peacefully at the age of 84.
Born in Hong Kong, Pamela graduated the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor's in Education and attained a Master's in Linguistics at the University of Leeds, England.
She taught at the Queen Elizabeth and Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary Schools prior to embarking on a career in teaching the educators of tomorrow at the Northcote College of Education and the Sir Robert Black College of Education.
