KLEMETS, Jean - Beloved Wife, Aiti, Mummu, Friend
December 3, 1933 - January 9, 2021
After 52 rich, fulfilling and wonderful years with her husband Walter and 6 more years with her children, grandchildren and extended family, Jean Klemets (nee Broijer) passed away suddenly at her home that she and Walter so lovingly enjoyed.
She was the extremely proud mother of Bruce (Lorraine) and Liisa (Richard). Grandchildren Emma, Hannah, Triston and Talia will miss their loving Mummu and spending time telling her all about what is going on with them.

NADEAU, Mary-Jo - 1965 - 2021 With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mary-Jo Nadeau after a long illness on January 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
Mary-Jo was born in Ottawa on January 16, 1965 but spent her childhood in Yellowknife and Sault Ste Marie before moving to London and settling in Toronto.
She attended Western prior to graduate studies at York University where she received her PhD in Sociology in 2005.
A respected scholar and teacher at several Ontario universities, Mary-Jo was also a fierce social justice activist and union organizer.

PELLING, George William - At the glorious age of 98, George passed away peacefully, holding the hand of his wonderful friend, Shelley, at Credit Valley Hospital on January 9, 2021.
George was the loving husband of Ivy Pelling for 68 years before her passing in 2018.
He will be remembered for his bravery, sacrifice,and service in the Royal Canadian Navy, serving 4 years on the North Atlantic during WWII.
He continued his service to country and community as a member of the Streetsville Legion, a founder of the Naval Cadets in Streetsville, a Freemason of the Masonic Lodge, and as a member of the Streetsville Trinity Anglican Church.

STARRET, Christine - It is with great sadness after a courageous battle right to the end, Christine passed away peacefully in her sleep at Bay Haven Care Community in Collingwood, on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in her 62nd year.
Christine was born in Collingwood on July 30, 1959 to parents Wallace Starret and Annie Stratton.
She is survived by her sister Helen (late Gary) Jamieson, brothers Ronald (Anne) Starret and John (Cheryl) Starret.
Also remembered by her nieces and nephews Mike (Louise) Jamieson, Heather (Ryan) Clute, James Starret, Rachel (Levente) Molnar, Jack Starret and 10 great-nieces and nephews and many cousins.

WILLIAMS, Eldon Stephen Vernon - April 4, 1928 - January 9, 2021
Dr. Eldon Stephen Vernon Williams passed away peacefully on January 9, 2021 at 92 years young, surrounded by his children.
Healthy, happy, and loving to the end, he had nothing but excitement over the prospect of someday meeting his Creator.
Raised on what he proudly referred to as the 'Continent of Tobago', Eldon was one of nine children born to Samuel Vernon Williams and Martha Alberta Robley.
Blessed with a keen intellect, kind heart and an undeniable spirit of adventure, Eldon came to Canada to attend McGill University in Montreal in the 1950s, where he earned his medical degree with a specialty in General Surgery.

MEGILL, James Russell - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James Russell Megill, who passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on January 9, 2021 at the age of 73.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen of 47 years, his children Jamie Megill (Annie) and Amanda Swainson (Robbie) of Bermuda.
Grandfather to Teresa Megill, Míchéal Megill, Ashley Swainson and Kaitlyn Swainson.
He is survived by his sister Sharon Brown and brother to the late Joann Megill.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, his nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.

SINGER, William - William (Bill) Henry Singer, 103.5, of Tucson, Arizona, beloved husband of 72 years to Mary Singer (Saunders), passed away peacefully while he slept at his residence on January 9, 2021.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia Singer and his three brothers, Jerald, Robert, and Lloyd Singer. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Daniel Singer and daughter-in-law Brenda (Finan), his grandchildren Erik Singer and Amanda with her husband Andrew (Heffernan), plus great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, and Julian.

SANDHAM, Dr. Herbert James - September 30, 1932 – Lethbridge, Alberta January 9, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta
On Saturday, January 9, 2021, Dr. H. James Sandham, passed away after a lengthy illness.
Known to most people, other than his students, as Jim, he was born in Lethbridge, AB, and grew up on his family's farm in Spring Coulee.
After graduating from nearby Magrath High School he achieved a DDS from University of Alberta, and a MSc. and PhD., from the University of Manitoba.
Jim practiced dentistry first as a Captain in the Canadian Army and then in private practice in Dryden, ON. Jim held teaching and research positions at the University of Manitoba and University of Alabama, Birmingham.

SCHWARTZMANN-BRUKSON, Marisa - (July 19, 1951 – January 8, 2021) - Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and cousin who will be missed by everyone she knew.
Marisa was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and spent her formative years in the nearby city of Campinas. After becoming a lawyer, she continued her studies in law in Israel where she met her Husband Eli. Marisa and Eli started their own family when back in Brazil and eventually moved to Canada for opportunity.
Marisa did not have an easy life, being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at age 19, and breast cancer at 68, she was constantly challenged. Despite this difficulty, Marisa was often smiling, as she always made the best of whatever situation she faced.

JORDAN, James Alexander 'Alex' BASc, P.Eng. - Passed away peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital on January 8th, 2021 at the age of 95, after a brief illness.
Alex was a highly respected Professional Electrical Engineer (P.Eng. U of T 1951) whose professional experience began at Toronto Hydro in 1952. In 1968, he joined East York Hydro as Chief Engineer, then became the General Manager in 1987.
Alex was past District 4 president for the AMEU, member of the IEEE, MEA and Chairman of the Toronto Board of Examiners for the Electrical Workers licensing Master Electricians.
Alex joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at age 18 and was a wireless mechanic for Hawker Hurricane planes in Gander, Newfoundland and later in St. John’s at the control centre. He was a proud WWII veteran giving speeches in schools and proudly wearing his medals.

CLAPP, William 'Bill' Ford - William (Bill) Ford Clapp, at age 90, passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 8th, 2021, surrounded by love until the end.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 30, 1930 to Milo Ford and Helen Peoples Clapp. Preceding him in death were his sister Sarah Reid, step-mother Helen Young, and step-brother Ivor Young.
William (Papa Bill) will be deeply missed by his wife Nancy Hummel, three children Susan (Danny) Nolan, Alicia (Karl) Scholz, and Ford (Heather) Clapp. Bill was tremendously proud of his 6 grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher and Emily Nolan, Marie and Carson Scholz, Spencer Clapp and fondly remembered by his former wife, Judy.

BALDASSI, Giuseppina - (May 7, 1939 - January 8, 2021)
Giuseppina Baldassi immigrated to Canada over 60 years ago. She created a loving and caring home for her family. She was generous and incredibly strong.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Roberto and her children Diana, Renzo and his wife Karen, Mara and her spouse Joe. She was a devoted grandmother to Joshua, Kristen, Lauren and Joseph.
She left us early on January 8, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s and breast cancer.

REBELO, Lubelia Vicente (Arruda) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Lubelia Vicente (Arruda) Rebelo, on January 8, 2021 at the age of 81.
She has been reunited with her loving husband, José Reis Rebelo, who passed away April 19, 2019.
Originally from São Miguel Açores, she was predeceased by her parents, João Vicente Arruda and Mariana da Luz Rego.
She is survived by her children, Joe Rebelo (Odalia), Regina Pedro (Joseph) and Robert Rebelo (Joanne), her cherished grandchildren Jenna Rebelo (Mike Nalepa), Sarah Pedro, Lauren Rebelo, Joey Pedro, Jacob Rebelo and Julia Rebelo and great-grandson, Felix Nalepa.

ACKERMAN, Esther - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Esther Ackerman on Friday, January 8th, 2021.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband and will be greatly missed and remembered by her loving siblings, siblings-in-law, and her many nieces and nephews.
Esther was born in Tangiers, Morrocco and moved to Toronto in 1963 at the age of 32. She worked hard, along with her siblings, to create a new life for her family and generations to come, always maintaining a connection to her heritage and roots. Esther proudly served as an executive secretary for the Ministry of Education in Ontario until she retired.
