Fyfe CharlesFYFE, Charles A.   - September 23, 1930 – January 31, 2021

Charles passed away peacefully, at Milton District Hospital, on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

Loving husband to Fiona for 60 years, proud father to Gordon, Barry (Sarah) and David (Trina) and dear grandfather to Logan, Conor, Samantha and Foster.

Charles was born in Lisburn, Nothern Ireland, and a few years later moved to Bangor, County Down, where he attended Bangor Grammar School.

He was a keen member of the debate society and the dramatic society.

Charles was an avid rugby player and joined the Ards Rugby Club where he played for many years.

He also became a successful yachtsman representing Ballyholme Yacht Club, winning the Northern Ireland Dinghy Racing Championship for two consecutive years.

He went on to be a captain with the Royal Ulster Yacht Club interclub racing team for a number of years.

Charles married Fiona in 1960 and they had three sons Gordon, Barry, and David.

As a family they immigrated to Canada in 1974 and moved to Oakville.

Charles was a keen bagpipe player and toured Europe and North America with the Streetsville Pipes and Drums and the Ontario Massed Legion Pipes and Drums.

As a member of the Streetsville Band, they had the honour of playing for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at Balmoral Castle.

The family will be forever grateful for the love and care provided to Charles by the amazing teams at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Milton District Hospital.
