COADY, James William  - It is with profound sadness that the family of James Coady announce his peaceful passing at home, in his 88th year, on January 28, 2021.

Our wonderful Dad will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children James Vincent and Ann Marie.

Jim was the beloved husband of the late Catherine McElroy (2008).

He told us 3 days before his passing that "Catherine was coming to get him and would be here soon".

Jim and Catherine were soulmates, married 48 years and adored each other.

It was a true love story. They are now happily reunited which gives us great comfort. Jim was predeceased by his parents James in 1945 and Phyllis (Smith) in 1975, his sisters Marie (Goodwin) and Shirley (Stride) and his brother Pat. He is survived by Mike and Linda (White).

Jim was a gentle soul, kind, generous, had a fantastic dry sense of humour and loved a good Rum and Coke. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews and all who knew him.

The family would like to thank all who cared for Jim including his oncologist Dr. Iqbal, Dr. Popovic, his nurse Shameeni, and his wonderful PSW's Kirsten, Shirley, Paul and Marie.

Due to Covid, a celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date and he will be buried with Catherine.
