Carpenter AnnieCARPENTER, Annie Eleanor  -  Passed away peacefully, on Monday, April 26, 2021, at age 93.

Beloved wife of the late Norman Allan (2009).

Loving mother of Allan (Louise) and Sandra (Rod).

Cherished grandma of Becky (Jason), Jeff (Amanda), Devin (Andrew), and Jamie; special great-grandma to Olivia, Evan, Jackson, Maddison and Rori. Dear aunt of Pat (Steve) and Donna (deceased).

Born on April 8, 1928 in Toronto, Ann spent 61 years of her life in the same home in Scarborough with Norm before moving to Bracebridge in 2015.

The best of friends, Ann and Norm enjoyed vacations driving down East and out West, with Ann always at the wheel.

Summers spent at their trailer on Rice Lake, daily trips to Tim Horton's for banter with their friends, and many happy moments spending quality time with her family, brought Ann the utmost joy. With the support of her daughter, Ann was able to live in her home until her passing, an independence that brought her great pride.

Ann lived her life on her own terms, unapologetically.

With her wonderful sense of humour and her fiery grit, her legacy to all of us might simply be to indulge in the extra butter or gravy, fry the bacon and give the children a treat bag; for Ann, life was meant to be well-lived.

Ann's recliner is now empty alongside her heating pad and endless supply of Vick's but her strength and enduring love will forever be with us, a gift for which we will always be grateful.

In lieu of flowers, donations to SickKid's Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation are greatly appreciated.

At Ann's request, there will be no formal service.

A celebration of life with close family will occur at a later date.
