Hodge StanHODGE, Stanley “Stan” Harry - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stanley “Stan” Hodge at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

Stan was a devoted husband to the love of his life, his adoring wife Joanne for over 40 years.

Beloved and cherished father to the other loves of his life, his children, Rebecca and Peter, his daughter-in-law Katie and his granddaughter Harper.

He will be missed by his sister Shirley, mother-in-law Doris, his sisters and brothers-in-law and his many nieces and nephews.

Stan was predeceased by his mother and father Alfred and Alice, brother Ronald, brother-in-law William and father-in-law Jack.

He loved his family more than anything which was evident in the way he deeply cared for them and showed up to everything, big or small, to lend a helping hand or cheer them on. He was always there when you needed him. He had the biggest heart and kindest soul. He knew how to make you smile even on the darkest days, and gave the best hugs.

The world has lost a truly amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He has left a lasting mark on all who knew him. No greater statement can be made than his life was well-lived and filled with love. To know him, was to love him.

There will be a private funeral with immediate family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when circumstances allow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
