FOX, James (Jim/Jimmy) Murray   - With great sadness we announce the death of James (Jim/Jimmy) Murray Fox after courageously enduring multiple system atrophy.

Jim died at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH), on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, with his beloved wife, children, and family by his side.

Jim was born on February 18, 1947, in Glasgow, Scotland, and came to Canada to be with his family in 1965.

He originally resided in Toronto before moving to Oakville where he lived and worked for the last five years.

Jim loved life and had many friends throughout Canada, the USA and Scotland whom he considered family.

His kind-hearted humour, which remained to the very end, will continue to bring warm memories to all who knew him.

His favourite pastimes included crosswords, Jeopardy (with Alex Trebek), golf, reading and solving the problems of the world with a cold beer in hand. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Jelinek, his children Taryn and Shauna Fox, and his four grandchildren.

Jim also cherished his extended family including his nieces and nephew, great-nieces, great-great-niece, and great-great-nephew. Jim's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at OTMH, Rehab Unit 2, for their outstanding care and compassion.

In appreciation, memorial donations may be made to The Oakville Hospital Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
