Khoury JohnKHOURY, Jéan 'John' - Born in August 1928 in Lebanon, John passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2021.

He lived a long and well-lived life. He left Lebanon at the young age of 17 and moved to Brazil and then to Trinidad and Tobago at the invitation of his beloved Aunt Julia. There he met and married Gloria Habib. She was at his side all their life and he always marvelled that they were married for nearly 70 years.

They later emigrated to Canada and lived in Toronto.

He was a successful businessman and served on many corporate boards, but he also gave back to his home in Tobago which became the place of his soul. There he was president of the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary, and the Rifle association (he was also a recognized marksman himself).

He was a blood donor for a large part of his life and he was a staunch church goer.

His greatest loves are his family and friends of which there were many! He was a loyal friend, generous and kind, an honourable person, always smiling with an enthusiasm for new adventures.

JK, as he was called, will be sadly missed by his wife Gloria, his children Juliet, Patricia and Edward, his grandsons Jonathon and Matthew along with great grandsons Jason and Christopher. He was predeceased by his sister Eva, her daughter Hilda, son Elie and leaves behind their families and his nephew George and his family.

He will be missed by his cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many friends in Canada, Trinidad, Tobago, USA and in other parts of the world.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 29th at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2058 Kipling Ave, Toronto, M9W 4J9. To attend from a distance please visit the funeral home's website for a livestream link.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or another charity of your choice would be appreciated.
