ALTOMARE, Rosina Teresa - Nonna and Bis Nonna Rosina Teresa Altomare, who was affectionately called "Nonna" by her grandchildren and "Bis Nonna" by her great-grandchildren, peacefully departed her loving family, on June 25, 2021 at 11:55 p.m.
Rosina was born in the Calabrian town of Cellara, in the province of Cosenza, Italy, on October 3, 1937, to the late Vincenzo and Natalina Borghese.
She immigrated to Canada in the mid-50's with hopes and dreams of making a better life for herself.
Shortly after arriving in Canada, she married her late husband Nello who together went on to raise their children Tony and Maria with love and devotion while simultaneously building a successful business.
Rosina is survived by her daughter Maria, son Tony, daughter-in-law Vita, grandchildren Rosie, Stephanie, Josie, Andrea and Nello and great-grandchildren Torino and Leo.
