Jean came to Canada with her parents and brothers from Lithuania in 1948 via German refugee camps at a young age - living first in Oba, Ontario and then Toronto for the rest of her life.

Her career was largely in home décor – mainly drapery and blinds but she was also a car sales woman at a time when that industry had few women.

The greatest loves in her life were her daughter Stacie and granddaughter Meghan.

She is predeceased by her daughter Stacie Booth (Sungaila), father Jonas Sungaila, mother Juzefa Sungaila Kairys (nee Pankauskas) and brother Tomas Sungaila.

She will be greatly missed by her beloved granddaughter Meghan Eugenia Booth; brothers Jonas II (“John”) Sungaila and Antanas (“Tony”) Kairys (Linda); her cousin Donna MacDonald along with many nieces/nephews: Monika, Jonas III, Vilija, Emily, Lindsay, Jonas, Julia, Janine; her ex-sister-in-law Irena and Gintare and many other family and close friends.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 12 noon at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, 2185 Stavebank Road Mississauga, ON L5C 1T3.
