Moore KenMOORE, Kenneth Maitland - It is with sadness but appreciation for a long life, well lived, that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth at Niagara Gardens Retirement Manor on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in his 94th year.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Madelaine (Morrison) and daughters Diane Moore-Wilcox (Wayne) and Debbie Moore-Awde (Duncan).

Kenneth was born to Philip and Everal (Cook) Moore in Edmonton Alberta on January 12, 1928 and is pre-deceased by his sisters Marcie, Rosemary and his brothers Gerald and Richard and survived by his sister Barbara (Moore) Gray (James).

“Uncle Ken” will be missed by his many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Kenneth had 4 loving grandchildren: Jason Cochrane, Savannah Awde, Charlotte Awde and Florence Awde.

Kenneth always had a funny joke and quick one-liners to keep everyone around him on their toes! He was a big fan of the New York Yankees and horse-racing. He loved music, admired talented guitar players like Chet Atkins and Django Reinhardt and played guitar himself for his young family to enjoy.

He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and staff at Niagara Gardens.

Special thanks to Ken Nielsen, the best friend a man could ever have.

Visitation and Funeral will be held at Marshall Funeral Home, Richmond Hill on Friday, August 13, 2021. Service will be held at 11a.m.
