Rybka LeahRYBKA, Otilia 'Leah' (nee Nunes-Ravasco)Otilia (Leah) Rybka (nee Nunes-Ravasco), beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on December 2, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Leah, or Vovo to her grandchildren, was born on July 5, 1926 in Dourados, Brazil. In 1953, she married Frank Rybka (d. 2011) and together, they immigrated to Canada and had their 6 children.

She had a deep love for her family and liked spending time with them, sharing stories of her life, playing Scrabble and Sudoku, as well as watching Jeopardy.

She considered her Catholic faith to be a gift given to her by God, which she, in turn, gave to her family, and she was always a beautiful example to those around her. She touched the lives of those she encountered through her joy and desire to make them feel happy and loved.

She will be greatly missed but her memory will always be cherished. She has been survived by her children Anthony (Maxine), Liz, Paul (Leanna), Joseph (Patricia), Chris, and Ted (Pam); her grandchildren Jennifer (Marc), Marysa (Anthony), Nathanael, Peter, Katrina, Michael Edward, Michael Paul, Nicholas, Matthew, Alexandra, Juliana, Sarah, Hannah, Madelaine, Andrew, Mark, Stephen, and Benjamin; and her great-grandchildren Gabriel, Noah, Loïc, and Kate.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, and preborn grandchildren Jacqueline and Angeline, and great-grandchild, Joseph.

Arrangements are entrusted with Ward funeral homes.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Marian Helpers at Marian's of the Immaculate Conception.
