JOHNSTON, John - John passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, with family by his side.
Devoted husband of the late Sandra, loving father of Kathryn (Raymond), Ian (Janet), Donald (Gutemberg) and Michael (Melissa). Adored Poppa to Meaghan, Brandon, Johanna, Emma, Andrew, Emily and John.
Brother to the late Geoff, Marjorie and Alexandra.
At the time of his passing, John was eagerly anticipating becoming a great-grandfather. Ewan Scott Brodie was born December 14th.
The first of the next generation, he is born into a family that took their cue from the kind and loving man that we were fortunate enough to call husband, Dad, Poppa and brother.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, Mississauga, Sunday from 2-4 p.m. A family funeral service will be held at Erindale Presbyterian Church, 1560 Dundas St. W., Mississauga, Monday, December 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. Due to the limitations still in place surrounding COVID-19, those wishing to attend must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask. Proof of vaccination will be required.
For those who wish, donations may be made to Erindale Presbyterian Church or the Hospital for Sick Children.
