Allmen PhilipALLMEN (VON ALLMEN), Philip  - Philip passed away on April 22, 2018, at the Dorothy Ley Hospice in Toronto after a four year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 81.

Loving husband to Donna Hrynkiw, predeceased by his first wife Eva (1998).

Devoted father to Maureen (Peter Sirois), Steven (Heidi Raps-Allmen), Karen (David Chow).

Proud grandfather of Michael, Christine, Jacqui, Mark, Brian, Katie, Laura Carolyn and Evan. Fondly remembered by Donna's mother Yolanda and son Greg and the Hrynkiw family, his niece Ann (Tom Venetis) and their son Nicholas. Born in Montreal, Phil was the only child of Gertrude and Werner von Allmen. He graduated from Sir George Williams University in 1958.

He was an admired high school teacher and principal in the Etobicoke Board of Education from 1966 until retirement in 1994.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., on Sunday, April 29, 2018, from 2-6 p.m. A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, Phil asked for donations to be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada or Dorothy Ley Hospice.
