Peacefully and surrounded by loved ones, Georgina Ann Chute (Stevenson) passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, at the age of 76. Loving Mother of Heather Chute-Grant (Gord), the late Andrew Chute, and Patrick Chute (Jennifer). Cherished Nana of Daniel Chute, Emily and Owen Chute, and Haley Chute. Survived by her beloved sister Pat (Rick) Bowen. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Annie and George Stevenson, brother Cal Stevenson, sister Catherine Trella, son Andrew Chute and infant son Brian Chute. Lifetime friend of Cathy Williams and dearest friend of Lou Telzer. Georgina worked at Shell Canada in Corunna for 27 years. In that time, her co-workers became her work family. She valued all the relationships she formed during her time at Shell. She was very dedicated to her work and when not working, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. During her stay in hospice, her positive attitude stayed true and was always in great spirits, smiling and laughing with every visitor. A very special thank-you to all the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
