Rose Marie O’Neill

She is survived by two of her brothers, Patrick (Frances) of Leduc, Alberta, and Al (Maureen) of Peterborough, On., and her sister-in-law Rose (the late Steve) of Downeyville, On.  Rose was predeceased by her sisters, Theresa (Bill), Margaret, Evelyn, and her brothers, Joe (Evelyn), Vince, Don (Nel), Willie (Bernice), and Steve.

A favourite aunt (Lady Rose) to thirty-five nieces and nephews as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews with whom she shared much joking, teasing and laughter.

Rose Marie O’Neill was a lifelong employee of the Royal Bank (RBC), a career taking her to many locations all across Canada. During her leisure time she took great pleasure in travel, visiting several different countries. After her retirement, Rose returned to Ontario to settle in her loved cottage in Dunsford where she made many good friends. She always welcomed family visits and enjoyed puttering around in her yard or in her garage/workshop, refinishing furniture and woodworking.

Rose’s sense of humour and easy-going good nature endeared her to all.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Interment will take place at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Downeyville, On. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. followed by a gathering at the Downeyville Hall to which all family and friends are welcome.
