On March 18, 1952, the Good Lord sent the world an angel named Wendy to bless all those that had the good fortune to know and be touched by her. On August 24, 2026, He called His angel back to His house in Heaven, her earthly tasks completed, now only to rest in absolute peace. We thank the Lord for giving us His child to make this a better world over the last 74 years.
Wendy shared an incredible 53 years with her loving husband Thomas, including 50 years of marriage on August 21, 2026. In addition to Thomas, Wendy leaves behind her loving daughter Nicole Cecelia Forbes and son-in-law Zachary Forbes; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Vicky Georgopoulos and James Georgopoulos; loving nephews Jason Georgopoulos, Michael Georgopoulos and Steven Georgopoulos; uncles Patrick Doyle, Danny Doyle, David Doyle and aunts Carol Doyle and Anne Doyle; as well as her many cousins and friends.
Wendy is predeceased by her parents James Michael Doyle, Shirley Cecelia Doyle, and Wendy’s brother Michael James Doyle, with Michael having died at birth. As many readers of this notice will know, Wendy was a 19-year survivor of a double lung transplant and was passionate regarding the need for organ donation, as well as the related research and supporting organizations. On Wendy’s behalf, I ask that in lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating in her honour to any of the following organizations that touched and supported her life over the years:

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Wendy’s life for viewing at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Ltd, 30 King St E Cobourg ON K9A 1K7 on Friday August 28 between the hours 2:00 – 5:00pm, Funeral service at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 379 Division St, Cobourg K9A 3R7 at 10:00am Saturday August 29th followed by interment at Camborne United Church Cemetery at 11:30am to be followed by a luncheon at the Knights of Columbus Hall 232 Spencer St E, Cobourg K9A 1C5 12:00 – 2:00pm.
