Sharon Ann Bertrand

It is with deep love and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Sharon who passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on December 13, 2025.

Born in Ottawa, Sharon grew up in NDG. She attended the Mother House, where she completed secretarial studies, a path that would shape much of her early career.

Sharon worked as an administrative assistant at DuPont, where she met the love of her life, Jacques Bertrand. They shared 59 devoted years of marriage before his passing in 2017. Together, they built a life in Candiac, QC where they raised their two children, Jean and Suzanne before moving to Burlington in 1979.

Sharon spent many years generously donating her time to volunteering with the Red Cross through Meals on Wheels. She was also an exceptional baker, best known for her apple pie and apple crisp, which became cherished family favourites.

Sharon was a loving and devoted mother to Jean (Annette) and Suzanne (Rob). She was a proud Grammy/Gammy to Sarah, Emilie (Adam), David, Kevin (Olivia), and a cherished great-grandmother, affectionately known as Gigi to Sutton.

Predeceased by her brother Brian (Anne), and sister Mary Catherine.

Sharon will be remembered for her kindness and her sense of humor. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.

Visitation at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Church Hall.
