It is with great sadness that we announce the very peaceful passing of Felix Shavrnoch on August 29, 2025 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of 71 years to Agnes Bernadette (nee Grohol). Predeceased by parents Peter and Margaret Shavrnoch, who immigrated from Slovakia. Felix was the dear brother of Irene (predeceased), Margaret (predeceased), and Emil (predeceased). Cherished and loving father of Dan (Diane), Judy (Larry), Debra (predeceased), Karen (Rick) and (Glenn, predeceased), and Linda (Dan, predeceased). Felix will be deeply missed by his ten grandchildren; Rachel, Sophie, Jordan (Nell), Jennifer (Brent), Justin (Katey), Richard, Kaitlyn (Kyle), Jacob, Christopher, and Danielle (Daniel). He will also be deeply missed by his fourteen great-grandchildren, who truly enjoyed his tremendous love and affection. Felix will be greatly missed by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends with whom he shared many celebrations and memories over the years.
We sincerely thank our extended family at CAMA Woodlands for their dedicated and loving care of Felix for over seven years.
Family and friends are welcome to the visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant St. (one block North of City Hall) on Wednesday, September 3 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Rosary Church, 287 Plains Rd. E, Burlington at 11:00 with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Garden Rd., Burlington.
