It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Fenno VanderVeen. In his 85th year, John passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at Joseph Brant hospital surrounded by his family.
John is survived by the love of his wife, Ann (nee Nauta), loving father of Geoffrey (Heather), Robert (Jennifer) and Mark (Kristin); and proud Grandad of Hannah (Nate), Ian, Jeremy, Tyler, Jorja, Jack, Blake and Cody; and great-grandad for Henri.
Psalm 56:3 – When I am afraid, O Lord Almighty, I put my trust in you.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday August 26, 2025 from 9am until the time of the service at 10am. A reception will follow. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Lions Camp Dorset or the The Salvation Army would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
